How I Built This Website

I designed and built this site from start to finish — the structure, the look, and the content.

The technologies I used​

• Docusaurus — a React-based static site generator; it provides the site's backbone.
• React and TypeScript — the custom pages and components (dog cards, feeds, graph) are built with these.
• Local search — search works on-site, without any external service.
• Interactive graph — a visual map connecting the topics and the dogs through their shared tags.
• Privacy-friendly analytics — no cookies, no collection of personal data.
• GitLab CI/CD — after every change the site is automatically rebuilt and published.

Hosting​

The site runs on free hosting (GitLab Pages), thanks to the automated publishing. So the only recurring cost is the domain (the sorosbo.com address) as a yearly fee — everything else is free.
